FungiSolve Disinfectants

Fabric shoes, like running shoes, must be soaked in a bucket, but to clean leather shoes, mix 2 litres of FungiSolve solution (2 litres or water to 20ml of the concentrate). Place your shoes on an even surface, like a lawn or courtyard, on newspaper to catch whatever spills or leaks from the shoes. Pour the solution into the shoes and leave them to stand for 5 to 10 minutes. Then pour the remaining solution out, and place the shoes upside-down, with the toecap raised so that they can drain and dry before wearing. Then pour the remaining solution out, and rinse with clean water.

Laboratory tests done at the University of the Free State proved that FungiSolve will not damage cotton, nylon, wool, polyester or acrylic materials.

No. Lab tests have proved that FungiSolve is as gentle on textiles as distilled water. If the dyes are colour-fast and the item is preshrunk, it will have no effect on the garments, and the solution’s colour will not stain clothing.

Consult your doctor if you have a skin infection. She or he will prescribe medicine to cure it. To prevent re-infection after you are cured, use FungiSolve to decontaminate socks, shoes, towels, bathmats and (depending on the infection) underwear, gym clothes and bikinis and bed linen. It is recommended to use FungiSolve on sports shoes and socks at least once a month. Or simply wash all socks, underwear and pillowcases in the washing machine whenever you wash them. Do not wash running shoes in the washing machine, soak in a bucket. Rinse garments before drying and wearing.

The fungi that cause trouble to people are parasites, and feed on the skin. They thrive in warm, moist areas of the body, as well as on the hair roots and under nails, especially toenails. The spores that they shed to multiply are prolific, and very hard to kill in normal washing. To destroy fungal spores on garments, you would have to boil them at over 120⁰C under pressure. If you washed a pair of socks or shoes for two hours on a hot wash, a few spores would still remain, and these could re-infect you. And such treatment would damage the garments (and push up your electricity bill). With FungiSolve, you simply soak the garments for 30 minutes, and the solution destroys grown fungi, their spores, as well as any bacteria and the unpleasant odours these cause.

The doctor or pharmacist will prescribe medicine to treat the condition on your skin. FungiSolve, used on garments near the affected skin, will prevent re-contamination after you have been cured.

Piping and jets in spa baths harbour bacteria and fungi, and become coated in rancid body fats. These give off that spa pong! To decontaminate a spa bath, make sure the jets are covered with water. Pour a cupful of FungiSolve into the bath (but don’t get in now!) and allow the jets to circulate for 10 minutes. The bath will foam. Leave the bath full, to stand for 30 minutes, then drain and refill. Goodbye bacteria, fungi and that odour!

It has been tested and will not damage washing machines at the correct dosage.

Yes, it is very effective. Dose with 20ml of concentrated FungiSolve, and run an empty cycle. When complete the dishwasher is ready for use.

Those spores are tiny, and they hide in crevices and resist normal detergents. FungiSolve solution (10ml to a litre of water) will decontaminate the bin, but because the spores that cause mould on bread are airborne, you will have to do this regularly.

Yes, wet the wood with a solution of 10ml to a litre of water. You can soak a dishcloth in FungiSolve solution and drape it over the cutting board to keep it in contact with the wood. Rinse with clean water before use.

Yes, make up a few litres in FungiSolve solution and block the drain of your shower with cling-wrap or plug. Allow to soak for 30 minutes and drain. Then rinse with clean water. Your bathroom floor can be mopped with the solution and left wet for 30 minutes. FungiSolve decontaminates, safely.

FungiSolve Foot Repair Cream

It saves so much time! In a two-minute application, your feet feel rejuvenated. It’s like a foot spa in a tube, and your feet smell good enough to eat. But it’s not just a cosmetic: Your feet are left fungus-free, and with regular use, rough, dead skin is exfoliated, and cracked, dry heels are repaired.

Yes! Fungal infections often start in warm, damp corners between the toes. If used regularly, Medipod Foot Repair cream controls the acid/alakanine balance (or pH) of the skin, keeping it within levels at which fungi cannot multiply. Rub the entire foot with the balm.

It’s always best to leave a blister for as long as possible with its outer skin intact, and not cut away the protective layer over the new sensitive skin under the blister. Medipod Foot Repair and Treatment Cream will burn on an open wound due to the pH and lactic acid. It is therefore better to apply a healing agent like Inodine or Betadine if the area is open and bleeding. Once the skin below the blister has thickened, continue with daily treatment of Medipod cream.

Yes, it treats rough hands and dryness from detergent use or cement use. Over time it also reduces brown pigmentation, due to ageing and sun damage on the hands. Apply a sunblock on your hands to prevent these marks from returning. You can also use it for dry skin anywhere, such as on elbows and on legs.

Under the cast the natural layers of the skin that shed on an ongoing basis could not flake off, and so it has built up. To help remove the dead skin wash the skin with a granular body scrub and use a rough towel to dry it off. Then apply Medipod Repair and Treatment Cream to help exfoliate the loose skin twice daily and your feet will soon look smooth and healthy. Remember to do your recovery exercises.

I have heard this from people who wear Crocs! But FungiSolve Foot Repair Cream has a lasting effect on the skin. Keep the tube on your bedside table, and treat your feet before you go to sleep. It will do wonders as it is absorbed overnight, and your feet will feel better the entire next day!

The balm will not damage materials. It is also absorbed quite quickly and is non-greasy so if you spend a minute rubbing it in, your feet will feel refreshed and no residue will be left on your sheets.

If the callous is thickened over a bony area under the foot it could be developing due to abnormal pressure like a protruding bone. A podiatrist is trained to assess the reason for your callous development.

No creams will work if the foot is bearing weight abnormally and the callous is developing to protect the foot. However, if the skin is thickened from barefoot walking and exposure to the environment the lactic acid in Foot Repair and Treatment Cream can help remove the top, rough layer of the dead skin, with regular use. It also strengthens the intracellular layer, leaving skin more soft and elastic, and better able to withstand the stress on the skin which comes from walking without shoes and in sandals.

Flaking skin with a defined edge is often not just dry skin but athlete’s foot – a fungal infection of the skin. So just treating it with a nourishing cream is not sufficient. FungiSolve Foot Repair Cream is not only antifungal but also prevents recontamination as it changes the pH of the skin to make the conditions impossible for fungus to multiply. And once you have got rid of the athlete’s foot, to prevent recontamination, disinfect shoes, socks, bath mats and towels. The easiest way to do this is by laundering or soaking in FungiSolve Laundry & Shoe Disinfectant. Rinse treated clothes, shoes or linen in freshwater before use.

Summer’s dry heat dries out the skin. The skin loses its elasticity and then the constant flip action of the shoe against the heel further damages the skin and this causes the skin to crack. The first thing is to wear a sandal that stays on the foot and does not repeatedly ‘slap’ the heel, and with the back part slightly hollow to cup the heel. Then, reduce the callous gradually by using a pumice stone in the bath or shower or filing down the callous when the skin is dry with a sandpaper-type of file. Do this over a few weeks as the skin must not become too thin.

If used daily, FungiSolve Foot Repair Cream will increase the moisture content, strength of the intracellular layers and increase the elasticity of the skin to prevent cracks coming back. A few weeks of regular care will allow your skin to recover and strengthen, but it is important to keep up with a good routine as heel cracks need to repair deep in the skin for them not to recur. FungiSolve Foot Repair Cream‘s concentration of lactic acid is proven to strengthen the intracellular bonds as the new skin forms.

FungiSolve Foot Repair Cream is safe and recommended for diabetics. It is best partnered with FungiSolve, our new laundry decontaminator, which gets rid of fungi and bacteria in socks, shoes, bath mats, towels and any clothes worn close to the body, and which normal washing will not deal with. But FungiSolve Foot Repair Cream must not be used on open areas as a healing antiseptic. It has been designed to prevent dryness and cracking and reduces the formation of callouses.

As a diabetic, you should see a podiatrist regularly and then more often if you have loss of sensation in your feet. Your podiatrist will check the foot and monitor your circulation and advise you on appropriate foot wear and treatment if needed. Never use corn plasters or cut your callouses with a blade – seek professional advice.
